SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

PROTECTING OUR PLANET IS THE BEST STORY WE CAN EVER TELL

At the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations recognized that the current development model was no longer sustainable for the planet and for humanity. Humankind is committed to building a new worldwide sustainable system that is capable of putting an end to poverty and hunger, ensuring dignity and equality, protecting our planet’s natural resources, and fighting climate change, providing prosperous and fulfilling lives in harmony with nature and peaceful, just, and inclusive societies for the good of present and future generations.
In order to realize the 2030 Agenda and achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a solid global partnership – including all levels of society – is required.

Art and creativity can play a critical role in addressing some of the existing gaps in raising awareness about sustainable development and the SDGs. Through innovative and engaging languages, art and creativity can encourage action and raise a sense of urgency and a real commitment among local communities, civil societies, government agencies, and individuals alike.

Gruppo Jobel – Art for Earth supports the global changes promoted by UN through specific artistic programs in collaboration with institutions, both political and educational, local communities, private companies, UN Agencies and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

In 2019 Gruppo Jobel – Art for Earth was invited by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) to perform at the opening of the 6th Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (UN Conference Center in Bangkok) and by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to perform at the opening of the High Level Political Forum – Ministerial level (UN Headquarters, New York).

SMARTALK

ART – AWARENESS – SUSTAINABILITY

The word SmarTalk indicates a “theatrical conference”, in which short speeches delivered by experts alternate with live artistic performances (by actors, singers, mimes and dancers) accompanied by other visuals. Both the speeches and the performances focus on specific topics related to sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to provide the audience with an impactful experience that is simultaneously educational and emotional.

SmarTalk aims to deliver the message in an innovative and engaging way, merging entertainment, information, and advocacy to the general public. Because of its creative identity and global content, it is easily adapted to different culture and outreach needs, targeting civil societies, governments, institutions, and the private sector.

SmarTalk also indicates a “Cultural festival” format, to be held in different cities around the world to connect local and international partners, with different programs and durations in accordance with the needs of the host cities, integrating SmarTalk with other artistic appointments.
