PROGRAM

PERFORMING OPENING OF THE MINISTERIAL MEETING: “MORE”

JULY THE 16TH – 08:30 am
General Assembly Hall

“MORE” is a composition made by modern and contemporary dance, modern mime, physical theatre, and spoken chorus. What can we do more? This is the starting question to open a window on our contemporary world. A group of Artists representing humanity arrives from water and from the land.
We are all connected, living conflicts, separations, injustice.
Empowerment, equality, Inclusion: what can we do more?
The inspiration for this original concept comes from the vision that humanity can make a real change being joined hands in hands, walking towards a new path through partnership and dialogue, in the perspective that we have to leave to our children a better world.

SIDE EVENT: “SMARTALK – THE ROLE OF ART AND CULTURE FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF 2030 AGENDA”

JULY THE 17TH – 07 pm
UN Conference Building, Conference Room B

The performing SmarTalk, consisting of a series of live performances and talks, will deliver concrete examples of how art and culture can contribute to human and socio-economic development, quality education, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and peaceful and inclusive societies. Culture is a driver and enabler of sustainable development and no development is sustainable without serious consideration to culture.
The side event will provide the audience with an opportunity to enrich their experiences and achieve a new perspective in understanding about innovative ways to achieve the SDGs and possible personal actions that they can make toward this goal.
